for a long time there was very little on the market that could acommodate large pike flies , finsport wallets are just the job for carrying pike flies, consisting of around 20 large clear snap lock plastic wallets, i have been using the smaller wallets which i find are ample for most flies for a few years now with no problems not even as much as a hook going through the plastic inner , also has 2 foam inners for leaving the flies on to dry and extra inners can be bought quite easilly and comes in 2 sizes all in all a cracking product .

leaders are always an imotive subject, especially in the pike fly fishing world. I like segaur simply because of its track record, a firm favourite amongst salmon anglers and very popular for foreign saltwater destnations , I find it to be amongst the most invisible in water and as a leader material its pretty faultless I use it in the 19 to 22lb b/s range . interesting to note muskie anglers use this in the higher breaking strains 90lb+ as bite leaders although this is still a fiercely debated method

DNA holofusion
dna is a a very versitile material, you can use it to simply add a bit of flash to flies or you can tie the most beautifull baitfish patterns and very realistic ones at that. Combinations of colours and uses are limitless. Iv'e found that patterns tied fully with dna are best in the 4 to 5 inch range a very worthwhile addition to the pike fly tiers armoury and certainly catch fish

for tiers of pike flies your always on the lookout for something new. Alien hair ticks all the right boxes, it's easy to work with, with plenty of great colours, lightweight, and very good value for money. I could go on and on , this stuff is so easy to work with you can tie a basic 6 inch baitfish fly within 2 mins I kid you not i timed it. A great all round material for not only the advanced fly tIer but for the beginner as well, I really don't know how he can do these massive hanks of material at such a cheap price .
