North England RO

Having been brought up on a farm in Northumberland I cut my teeth on wild brown trout and grayling then moving onto pike which was our biggest fresh water fish at the time. I mainly fished the west coast of Scotland the Lake District and up into the central belt also heading south down into walse. I joined the PFFA to get more involved with pike fly fishing and have met some fantastic people over the years and also to hone my skills. I’m also Ro of a north east based PAC pike angling club so I mix it up a bit. There’s something special about pike on the fly, from those head shakes to dives for freedom nothing quite cuts it. I was honoured to be asked by the PFFA committee and look forward to the role and organising trips in the north. Pike welfare and conservation along with helping educate others must be our goal and can only benefit the future generations. The pike is a hard fighting beautiful ambush predator and needs treating with respect so we can continue to catch the fish again. It will be great to share the bank and create great memories in the months and yrs to come and look forward to meeting you all at some point. As they say , the tug is the drug. Tight lines.
